Maple Cutting Board at Williams-Sonoma

My sister, Robin, is a big fan of Williams-Sonoma. She’s also a fan of grilling, so today when I found this cutting board, I thought of her.

It’s made of maple and it has two sides – one is flat for chopping or dicing veggies or fruit, but when you turn it over, it has a grooved edge that catches food juices.

Homemade Mayonnaise…Incredible

I have been making mayonnaise homemade for years but always in a blender.  Tonight for some odd reason I decided to make mayo by hand a la James Beard.  Yes my arm hurts but what was created in the bowl  was by all counts the most amazing substance known to man. Would I lie?
