I’ve discussed previously, in Floral Designs in Arts and Crafts, and explored various ways and places you could use them.  Quilts, over the ages, have reflected many floral designs with numerous patterns named for flowers.

Mysteries are my favorite reading, whether they’re for children or for adults.  I also enjoy mysteries that take place in actual settings, so I can learn more about other parts of the country and the world.

Embellishing quilts, fabric art and mixed media has become very popular.  The artist might use simply a few items or can almost cover the piece in a technique called encrusted embellishing.

I’m joining in the fun again this week;

Thirteen Must Haves For My Journal HEATHER
1. A very cool journal I love the look and feel of.
2. An easy flowing, fat nibbed pen with purple or black ink.
3. A comfortable place to sit without interruptions.
4. A long black coffee to sip.
5. An imagination.
6. A pair of fold-up scissors.
7. A stick of glue.
8. A calendar, small card type the post office supplies each new year.
9. An envelope glued into the back of my journal for stashing things.
10. A journal bookmark or ribbon to find where I’m currently writing.

Thursday Thirteen

I found the Thursday Thirteen blog while looking at other blogs about writing, I think. It matters little to you. Heaps of people link to Thursday Thirteen with their lists of thirteen. It looks like a lot of fun. You name the thirteen things you want to list and then link your blog to their blog as I have done, or just use the idea in your journal.
