This week on That Girl we are celebrating Tifini McGill, who just completed her first Ironman last weekend in Lake Placid, NY. What inspires us about Tifini is the fact that up until she signed up for this grueling–and hilly–race comprised of a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike and 26.2-mile run, she had only completed a sprint triathlon five years earlier. As she puts it, “People thought I was nuts.” But over the course of a year, Tifini stayed committed and proved to herself–and her doubters–that she was indeed worthy of calling herself an Ironman.
