Farmer Brown Shears His Sheep – Review

Farmer Brown Shears His Sheep (A Yarn About Wool) is written by Teri Sloat and illustrated by Nadine Bernard Westcott.  My 3-year old daughter loves sheep, so it’s not surprising she picks this book out at the library every week!  However, there is more to appeal to kids about this book than just sheep.
First there are the colorful illustrations, which hold even the smallest children’s attention.  Next, there is the incredible rhyming text that reads like a song that is sure to get kids and parents hooked on this story.

First Look and Find Board Books Review

My kids have several First Look and Find Board Books.  These look and find books are meant for toddlers, and they are excellent.  They come in a variety of themes, including Disney characters, Sesame Street characters, Dora and Diego, My Little Pony and more.

Sweet Dreams – One of My Favorite Children’s Books

When my triplets were born, a friend of my parents’ gave us a copy of Sweet Dreams by L.C. Falken and illustrated by Lisa McCue.  I was immediately captivated by the book which tells the story of three bunnies and their mother as the bunnies play outside, eat dinner and get ready for bed. 
The story is adorable, but the illustrations in the book are what separate it from all the other children’s books we have.  The pictures are colorful and really make you feel like you’re part of the story.
