It seems like I am forever collecting tote bags.  There are some specialty bags that I use based on my particular travel needs, but there’s nothing like a well-crafted, all-purpose tote to pack everywhere you travel.  A tote should be the work horse of your travel bag wardrobe.

Tote Bags Hot Item in the Craft World

Tote bags have become a very popular item in the craft and quilting world this year.  Some interesting Paradiso Designs totes are pictured in the Checker Newsletter with the thought that totes are becoming a national trend.
Also featured is a Paula Nadelstern tote made from recycled tires and plastic bottles.  It has an interesting tapestry look design.  (Scroll to the end of the Checker Newsletter article to see the picture.)
I used to make a 9-patch variation tote that sold well when I had my quiltmaking business.
