Last year I started making AJ fun pancake shapes when I saw a magazine article in Family Fun Magazine. I make him letters, numbers, ghosts, and even teddy bears.

I made an AJ with a simple spoon (and so did Family Fun Magazine) but I found this handy site that actually helps you create fantastic pancake designs. You do need a

Is the snow getting to you outside already? Well, help your kiddos cheer up with some fake snow inside…
Ingredients:

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup talcum powder
1/2 cup white glue
1/2 cup water

In a bowl, combine sugar and talcum powder and set it aside. In a separate bowl, combine glue and water. Spread glue mixture over the surface you want to decorate with snow. Sprinkle the sugar over the glue and enjoy the look of white snow!

In our house we have what is called a Break Box for beating the winter blues and for days when AJ just needs to relax. Because of his sensory regulatory issues we have almost all of his toys put away and in the toy closet (and locked up). If he wants to get something he needs to use his words to ask for a particular item and then we put it back at the end of the night.
