Twilight Star Christian Serratos PETA Ads Say ‘Respect Life’; Objectify Women’s Bodies

Twilight star Christian Serratos PETA ads feature the actress dressed in lingerie and face paint for Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead). The ad is benign compared to PETA’s other campaigns (we were more horrified when they called women’s public hair ugly), but it’s still selling vegetarianism with sex appeal. The primary slogan, “Respect Life: Go Vegetarian,” is pretty basic, but given that the ad looks like a Victoria’s Secret Halloween Special, it’s kind of hard to swallow. More »

Everyone seems to be reading Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James in public and we think it’s a little weird. The erotic fiction novel (about BDSM) that was based off of Twilight fan fiction is super sexually explicit, pornographic, and has sold ten million copies all over the world.
