In today’s informational world, you would expect the opposite, but according to a recent study, more teenagers today are having unprotected sex and know less about birth control.
The “Clueless or Clued Up: Your Right to be informed about contraception” study prepared for World Contraception Day (which is today) by Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals questioned more than 6,000 young adults from 26 countries on their attitudes toward sex and contraception. Findings revealed that the number of young people having unsafe sex increased by 39% in the United States during the last three years. It also rose 111% in France and 19% in Britain, researchers say.
