I recently found a pen holder that reminds me a bit of pop art, or something like that. It’s the Giant Sharpener Desk Tidy that’s available from Urban Outfitters for $28.

I like the tidy for a few reasons: it’s different, attractive and made from responsibly harvested, sustainable wood. I don’t think it’s an actual sharpener though! However, I do think it would make a nice home warming or office gift. Their Dirty Mug is also interesting, though I think I’d have trouble drinking from it…

Urban Outfitters has a recycled line called Urban Renewal. You can absolutely get your hippie groove on with some of their stuff. My favorite is the Sheet and Tee Tank made with vintage sheets and t-shirts. If you order one of these, you won’t know for sure what yours will look like, but the style should be the same. Isn’t that exciting?
