V8 Fusion Drinks

My husband used to (he hasn’t in a while) drink V8 Tomato Juice and it drove me nuts. I can’t stand tomato juice. Neither can I stomach tomato soup. As much as I love fresh tomatoes in pico de gallo or adding sliced tomatoes on sautéed dishes, minced or pureed tomatoes are just not my thing. But then V8 came out with Fusion drinks and since then my aversion to V8 has stopped.

Essential Antioxidants V8 Juice
I was over at the V8 website because I wanted to check which vegetables the “8″ stands for (tomatoes, carrots, celery, beets, parsley, lettuce, watercress and spinach , if you must know), and noticed that they’ve renamed the A-C-E Vitamin Rich V8 to Essential Antioxidants V8 Vegetable Juice.
A-C-E is out. Antioxidants is in. Even if they are one and the same.
Plus points to their marketing staff. (rolls eyes)

Drink Your Vegetables
According to the latest American food guide pyramid, you should consume at least 7-9 servings of vegetables per day. Holy macaroni, I don’t think I eat 7-9 servings of anything, much less vegetables!
