Munich: vegetarians delight and beware
During my weekend in Munich, Germany, I had a lot of great meals. I approached the city of sausage with some trepidation, but it turns out that Munich has a lot to offer vegetarians. In addition to discovering some great vegetarian restaurants (see HappyCow for a list), I found that I often had a pretty wide selection to choose from at most ‘normal’ restaurants, as well (although note that strict vegan options were fewer and farther between).

Vegetarian New York City: Vatan
I didn’t get a chance to go there on this trip, but another of my favorite vegetarian restaurants in NYC is Vatan, an Indian restaurant in midtown.
The food is all-you-can-eat, but not buffet-style. Each person is brought a little taste of each and every item on the menu, and you are free to request more of any dish you like. I love getting to have so much variety at one meal, especially when it’s all delicious vegetarian Indian food.
