The Los Angeles Times recently released their list for the top ten vehicles for people with pets. Their criteria for picking the cars was based mostly on safety, and the ease of restraining a pet while in the vehicle.

The list of recommendations also comes with explanations as to why the cars are so pet-friendly, citing everything from the basics like extra storage for pet supplies, to the high tech like cameras and built-in coolers:
~ Dodge Journey: In-floor storage bins, rear-view camera, in-dash cooler, flashlight and steering wheel controls
~ Ford Flex: lots of leg room, wide door openings, refrigerated console

Nothing pisses me off more than witnessing a parent putting their child(ren) in danger, when on the go. My usual tendency to mind my own business goes right out the window, when I see a child’s safety being compromised, and I lose the ability to keep my mouth shut. I have done so on many different occasions and will continue to do so as long as there are people out there who fail to adhere to common sense and vehicle safety rules.
