Interestingly enough, I am not a root beer drinker at all. The only time I have a taste of root beer is when I am actually having a root beer float. But I have had vodka shots and cocktail drinks with vodka in it many many times. Root beer flavored vodka? Sure why not? The two recipes above sounds very intriguing and delicious. Would I drink them? Heck yeah. We’re celebrating National Root Beer Float Day after all .

Ever wondered how many calories were in the (regular) beer, shot of vodka or tequila you drank? The Treasury Dept. is considering requiring all alcoholic beverages, including beer, wine and liquor – to have nutritional information on the bottles where you can read the calories, carbs, percentage of alcohol, even the serving size of whatever you’re drinking.
This was recently on FitSugar and it seemed from the comments that most people would go for it. Let’s face it, when it comes to dieting, calories (and carbs, etc) do matter in the grand scheme of things. This was recently on FitSugar and it seemed from the comments that most people would go for it. Let’s face it, when it comes to dieting, calories (and carbs, etc) do matter in the grand scheme of things. You can always look up the information online, but wouldn’t it be nice to be able to compare nutrition facts when you’re actually in the store?
However, a rule like this would be years in the making – specifically, 3 years after a majority agreed on it (that’s set for October 29th).
What do you think? Would you like to be informed, or would you prefer that things stay the way they are?
