Waiting & Observation

This afternoon I spent a long time waiting at the Perth International Airport. My sister-in-law has been away in Malaysia & Cambodia. As I waited I was able to enjoy one of my other favourite pastimes; people watching. The international airport is actually a great place to watch people. There’s the expectant faces, the eagerness & impatience, the joy on seeing each other, the response, how long they linger, departure, and many other things to observe.

Waiting

I picked up my mother from the airport this afternoon. She came in from Sydney, not where she lives, and arrived in peak traffic time here in Perth. I thought it wise to get there a little early, just in case. But that meant having to wait around some. I was fine, though, as I took along my journal and spent some time writing as I waited.
