Remember to walk

Many of us have resolved to get more exercise beginning this fine New Year’s Day.
However, exercise is beneficial for more than just being able to wear our jeans again after holiday food consumption.
Studies show that moderate exercise such as walking may be associated with a lower risk of vascular dementia in people in their sixties.
However, the effect doesn’t necessarily extend to reducing the risk of Alzheimer’s Disease, a different disease mechanism than vascular dementia.
