I don’t want to believe this study. I really don’t.
For me, late night is largely empty of distractions. If I don’t turn on Skype or Facebook, I can pretend the whole world is asleep while I write. Even my cat will not bother me while I work at night.
I see few problems with this habit of working late at night as I believe I’m just naturally tuned to stay up. (And I still get eight hours.) To me, the only bad thing about staying up late is that I get hungry. Apparently, that’s bad.

I picked up my son from preschool the other day and overheard a woman say, “I gained 40 pounds when I was pregnant.” I did too. So, I naturally glanced over and gave her the once-over. Obesity = Increased Risk of Death From Prostate Cancer

Obesity (higher body mass index or BMI and weight gain) increases the risk of death from prostate cancer but no association was found between BMI or weight gain and the development of cancer.

The researchers found that higher BMI and weight gain since the age of 18 were associated with significantly higher risk of death from prostate cancer. As BMI increased, so did the relative risk of death.
Men who were overweight (BMI 25-29.9) had a 25 percent higher risk, mildly obese men (BMI 30-34.9) had a 46 percent higher risk, and severely obese men (BMI greater than 35) had a 100 …read more
