Plush Hungry Figures and Hungry Magnets sold by Weight Watchers between April 2009 and July 2009 are being recalled due to needles! That’s not nice of the hungry figure.
Two Weight Watchers employees found sewing needles inside Hungry Figures, made in China. What’s scaring me is the thought that someone may have given one to a toddler.
Also, could anyone please explain to me how these things help motivate you to lose weight? I’m open to any explanation offered. To me, they sound like a silly way for Weight Watchers to earn a little more money. The figures sold for $4 – …read more
Weight Watchers Momentum Walk-It Challenge

Weight Watchers is launching “The Momentum Walk-It Challenge” to encourage members to be more physically active. The initiative, which runs from April 12 to June 6, gives members access to a free eight-week training program once they create a walking team or sign up for a 5K event.
In addition, all participants who complete the eight-week walking training program will be eligible to download a special President’s Challenge Award from Weight Watchers. The President’s Challenge is a free, motivational tracking program of the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports and encourages making activity part of everyday life.

While searching for a topic for the day, I came upon a marvelous story.
Kim Bensen was like most of us fighting a weight problem, losing 10 pounds only to gain 15 later. A visit to her health care provider was the awakening moment. Kim was to learn that her cholesterol was at a dangerous level. This could eventually mean heart disease, her weight had become her deadly enemy.
