Offbeat furniture fun…

So, can you tell what this is?

It’s a furniture piece – really. And it’s named after a sea creature. Hint: it would go in your kooky living room. Ok, or maybe a bedroom. Oh, and it’s made from recycled something…
Hmmm. Give up? Click here to learn more.

Offbeat Furniture Finds

It’s been a good long time since we saw any offbeat furniture. I always mean to share, but I just fill up my bookmarks, hording stuff for my own viewing pleasure. Today is show and tell. Well, more show than tell. If you’d like to learn more about any of these amazing pieces, click on the photo.

Offbeat Bathtub Link

So, I just linked Deb from Simply Thrifty at my green blog because she always comes up with great green ideas and posts. Now she’s also trying to corner the offbeat market by way of bathtubs and doing well I’d say.
I may be out of work soon.
Actually I love when people write stuff that makes me want to link them and you will be thrilled with this post she did as well; 6 Uses for Your Old Bathtub.
Here is a taste:

An old bathtub couch! How cool is this. Believe me she found weirder stuff than this so absolutely hit it …read more

Sit, Visit, Have Some Tea

People don’t go visiting so much nowadays. At the risk of sounding 80 years old, when I was a kid we went a visiting the neighbors. Often even. People had their neighbors over, they had tea (or even better coffee), talked, threw burnt orange Tupperware parties, and made colored popcorn balls. Or, was that just my 70s childhood?
Now we stay home. I think we need to draw the neighbors in. You can do that with an offbeat house for sure. Another way is to consider your interior. Is it inviting? Quirky enough to keep people mesmerized? Does your furniture say …read more
