I’m currently taking a bit of a break from being a professional puppeteer, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t still interest me!
Puppets can be anything from the smallest, simplest little creations to the elaborate full-body suits that the Jim Henson Workshop created for the new hit movie, “Where The Wild Things Are”:
Vanity Fair actually got to take a look inside the Henson workshop to see how the massive puppets were created. The design process began with sketches and small maquettes before the huge puppets could be built.

The 15 Most Controversial Picture Books
When I was studying for my Masters in Reading and Language Arts I took a fascination in Picture Books not only because I knew that someday I would be a mother but also because I loved using them in my middle school classroom.
