I was reading Parent Dish earlier and read a post on “Family of Four: Too fat to Work.” I will admit, I was intrigued and thought what family could be that fat.

Most people would like to say they do something about it, however not all. I was reading Parent Dish earlier and read a post on “Family of Four: Too fat to Work.” I will admit, I was intrigued and thought what family could be that fat.

sxc.hu

This family actually resides over in Britain and their total weight is 1,160 pounds. They claim that they are just an overweight family with bad genes. The father is a diabetic 2 that has a bad heart. His wife, Audrey developed asthma and epilispy after getting fat. Emma and Samantha (age 19 & 21) are both overweight as well.

They claim they deserve more than they get, believe it or not they get $30,000 a year in benefits because they don’t work. The parents actually haven’t worked in over 11 years, the claim is they are just too fat to work. I’m sorry, unless they are completely cripled and can’t move there is no excuse. I’ve seen big people, heck, really overweight people working in places like McDonald’s or a janitor. I don’t buy that they are just fat and can’t do it. Even the diabetic has no excuse, well except maybe the heart condition, I know plenty of people that are diabetics. The other excuse was they can’t afford to buy healthy food like fruits and vegetables because they can barely afford to live on what they have.

If this was your family would you just sit around making excuses? What would you do? We’ve recently decided to go on walks, eat healthier and stop eating out so much. Not to mention our weekends now are more outdoors, the kids rode bikes this weekend, ran, played tag with us and flew kites. It was a blast and I can’t wait for the spring to fully get here.

He’ll be hosting “Will Work For Food” which premieres January 19th at 8:30pm EST on Food Network. He’ll be traveling around to “learn every job in the world of food,” and from the promo I just saw it looks like he’ll be scooping ice cream, stuffing sausage, and gathering honey.
I can’t say I’m excited about this one; he was the contestant I cared about least of the remaining three and annoyed me the most (like he was trying to hard to be Guy Fieri and failing miserably). What do you think?
