Video Tuesday: Women and Heart Disease

Women don’t only get heart disease, they’re getting heart disease in larger and larger numbers. In fact, according to the FamilyDoctor.org:
heart disease is the leading cause of death among women over 65. American women are 4 to 6 times more likely to die of heart disease than of breast cancer. Heart disease kills more women over 65 than all cancers combined.

American Heart Association’s “Go Red For Women Movement”

Once again, Red is the color of humanity and concern.
This time it is Campbell’s Yes! Campbell’s soup…teaming up with The American Heart Association.
The campaign, Go Red With Campbell’s has incorporated the regulation tactics of many charities, such as the star component, Lorraine Bracco — The Soprano’s, Dr. Melfi.

A very serious-sounding mission statement: … sharing strength and inspiration to help wipe out heart disease—the No. 1 killer of American women.
