Go For a Walk With Your Friend
There is no better way to stay fit than exercising with a friend. Friends help us to stay on track and also motivate us. Let your friend know about your exercise goals and it might help motivate her as well.

Go For a Walk With Your Friend
There is no better way to stay fit than exercising with a friend. Friends help us to stay on track and also motivate us. Let your friend know about your exercise goals and it might help motivate her as well.

Make a Commitment to Eat Healthy This Week
For this week, focus on eating just a little bit healthier. Pay attention to our body and how you feel after a week of healthier foods, and use that to motivate yourself to continue.

Stretch
Women need to stretch their muscles and bodies as they get older. Stretching is also good for relaxation.

Pamper Yourself
Good health encompasses more than just the body. Engage in positive thinking this week and perhaps try and get a massage.
Women do so much for everyone else. But this week, be good to yourself!

Why not focus on the positive, an encourage people to take better care of themselves rather than punish them for getting sick? Now, congress is “planning to give employers sweeping new authority to reward employees for healthy behavior, including better diet, more exercise, weight loss and smoking cessation.”

Employers will get tax credits and other incentives for offering federally approved wellness programs.
What do you think of this movement? Will healthier employees mean a healthier nation?

There is one element of this fabulous change in direction in a woman’s life that people are familiar with…but don’t seem to dwell on.
Memory loss or scatter-brain-ness. (And I am just in the beginning stages, I think.)
It’s one thing when I’m standing alone in my pantry — wondering if I was supposed to be looking for an ingredient, or if I was supposed to go get the mail.

It’s quite another when this gem of a side affect…appears in public.

When hubby and I were in Vegas, I left <strike>(his mother’s antique</strike>) a black beaded purse in a cab.

(followed by him dragging me through the casino back to the ladies room where I fibbed and said I’d left it). Oh the horr-ah.

On the flight back home I lost my boarding ticket… then I thought I lost my wallet…but didn’t remember I plopped it into a plastic food bag.

(You should have seen my face blanch with fear at the thought of telling him.)

He just kept making these faces at me, as if to say God woman, you are a ditz! What is wrong with you?

I couldn’t even chalk any of it up to being drunk, ’cause I wasn’t! And if I were to tell him what I was going through, he’d then know I was old.

Someone needs to come up with some memory techniques which are designed especially for pre and menopausal women, or I swear they’re going to find out that this is the reason for identity theft!

But I’ve also noticed that I’ve got the blues more often and more severely than I did when I was younger.

While a long-overdue visit to the Dr. for an exam is the most obvious solution, I began to search for sites that focus on hormonal imbalance and found Women to Women.

Women to Women is holistic women’s health care practice in Maine run by several women practitioners, who believe in a natural approach to treating and regaining hormonal balance.

If you, or someone you know is approaching menopause, it might be a sensible idea to visit their site or phone them for a free consultation and a discussion about their nutritional and dietary plans.

The site also has a very comprehensive library of articles and information on some of the more typical questions and symptoms.
