Dani has finished her maple log sculpture! I’m so pleased for her, especially after she had a certain amount of difficulty getting the stain to go on the way she wanted. The piece looks quite shiny in these pictures, but that’s because it’s still wet. Now that it’s dry, it has a beautiful satin finish.
Ok, now where will we display it in the house?  We’ve got 10 ft ceilings and plenty of room in our Victorian…

This fall, Dani is taking advanced sculpture with her favorite professor (”Z”!!). He somehow talked her into using the biggest log in the room and not cutting it down! She’s making a phoenix…I know you can’t see it yet
