I used to write Hankering For Yarn, (before my talented mom took it over ) and wanted to share a tutorial I wrote for it last spring.

It’s a variation on my fabric fusion technique, but I’m using scraps of yarn & then embroidering the finished piece.

Got My Yarn

Remember that I said I liked the colors so would get the same? My store had only the soft white – none of the others. So – I made up my color scheme and of course, I like it better.

I’m getting ready to post the pattern and I’ll tell you what I substituted. I know – I could have ordered the yarn online and had exactly what I thought I wanted. BUT – isn’t it fun to shop and actually see the yarn? And then, even though my store didn’t have what I thought I wanted, it was fun to make up my own color scheme. So – it was a good yarn shopping trip no matter what.

The best part is that I have already started crocheting!

I Found My Afghan

I found it and here’s what it will look like:

I am so excited to find a ripple afghan that I like! Plus I have never crocheted one. I even like the colors so I am off to find yarn.

Gotta run – yarn shopping is one of my favorite things.

Oh – the pattern and picture are compliments of Coats and Clark. I’ll post the pattern later. Right now I must shop!
