There are over 350 species of parrots found in the warmer climates around the world.  Here’s one  colorful, but sleepy example at The National Aquarium in Baltimore, Maryland, at the Inner Harbor. 

It’s hooked beak is used for grasping and climbing, as well as for cracking nuts and seeds.  In this case, for letting visitors know it’s time to get some sleep.

They grow to about 15 inches (38 cm) and range from Mexico to  southern Central America.
