Protect the World’s Most Important Places

Today TripAdvisor kicked off the TripAdvisor World Heritage Campaign to help protect the places around the world that matter the most. As part of the two-year campaign, the travel site will donate up to $1.5 million of support to include a cash donation allocated to UNESCO World Heritage initiatives.
The World Heritage Convention, an international treaty enacted in 1972, identified sites of outstanding value to humanity. UNESCO World Heritage initiatives works to protect and preserve the sites for future generations. They also identify new sites that need protecting.

Teton Trek to Open this Fall

A new four-acre exhibit inside the top-rated Memphis Zoo in Tennessee will open this fall. Donated in part by the Fred and Diane Smith family, Teton Trek will showcase the wildlife of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
Animals featured in the exhibit include grizzly bears, elk, Timber wolves, arctic waterfowl, trumpeter swans and sandhill cranes. The image below is a rendering of Old Faithful Entry Plaza, featuring a 25-foot geyser and Great Lodge, replicated from the Old Faithful Lodge in Yellowstone National Park.
