I love MORE magazine and I read it regularly. It’s a magazine for women who are 40+, but it’s not an “old lady” publication. These gals are chic, well-traveled, well-read, and apparently have pretty good jobs, because the clothes are a bit on the pricey side.
There’s an article at More.com that tells you, “How Not To Act Old With a Younger Man.”  It was written by humorist Pamela Redmond Satran, author of the book, “How Not To Act Old.”  My man is older than me (by about 10 months), but I figure acting a bit younger can’t hurt, right?

A friend of mine is a bit of a Cougar. She is attracted to and attracts younger men. She doesn’t plan it that way, it just sort of works out that way. They pursue her and she’s single and figures, “Well, why not?” It probably doesn’t help that I encourage her. I think she’s young and fun and also of the “Well, why not,” point of view.

Maria Bello, 41, recently announced her engagement to Bryn Mooser, 28. The first mention I found of the engagement came under the heading, “Maria Bello Joins the Cougar Club – AOL News.” Hhmm, interesting, but I always find Maria Bello interesting. She’s smart, beautiful, talented, and chooses unique film roles. The fact that she’s now considered a Cougar, also interesting. Overheard something while I was riding in a cab this afternoon and the driver was listening to talk radio. The announcer mentioned something about the significance of the ‘Year of the Rat’ to single women looking to hook up.
In case you guys didn’t know, 2008 is the Year of the Rat.
What she said was that this year is the year that women will most likely marry younger men or, at least, be attracted to them. So, I’m guessing they’re referring to single ladies who haven’t really considered the ‘younger market’.
