5 Things About Me

I was tagged today by Chris. I’m supposed to tell 5 things about myself, which should be pretty easy. You may already know this stuff about me though.
1. I am married to Gerald and have two children. Gerald and I got married when I was in college and he was in the Marines.
2. I have a degree in elementary education and quit teaching full-time when I had my first child, 4 1/2 years ago.
3. I constantly feel overwhelmed with too much to do. These two little kids have turned my world upside down.
4. I really enjoy writing about being frugal and am hoping to find a job writing a monthly column for a magazine.
5. Sometimes I’m frugal because I have to be, but always because I like it. Getting the best deal sometimes becomes a game and a challenge to me.
And a little something extra . . .
6. I started taking piano lessons in the third grade. I used to play the piano for my church and church choir. I also played for chorus class during my senior year and at my high school graduation. I’ve gotten rusty over the years, just from lack of practice. I currently sing and play the piano at church. I really enjoy David Crowder and Chris Tomlin.
I’m tagging Revka, Julie, Char, Jennifer, and Tanyetta.

This may be very poor timing, but I just tagged you with another “it” in another game of tag. This one is 7 things and 7 others…
(If it helps, I was tagged by both the 5 and the 7 on the same day! What a day.)
i sing “Here i am to worship” to my son every night before bed. i love that song.
Jessica: That’s my little girl’s favorite song. She used to fall asleep listening to it every night. She’d say, “Mommy, play number 5.” (on her cd) She used to get the words mixed up. She’d sing, “You’re altogether love me, altogether worthy, altogether wonderful to me.” lol I kept telling her it was “lovely” instead of “love me”. Oh well.
In your first five points, I’ve actually learn’t 11 things about you.
You may like to be frugal, but you are certainly generous when it comes to intersting information…
Thanks, Karen – this was fun! I can relate to your #3 on most days!
As for #4, I think you’d be perfect! Appearances on a radio show, column author for a magazine…what a resume!
Well, I’m not promising I will do it anytime soon, but I will do it.
