A Call for Guest Posts

As some of you already know, my family will be moving in a few weeks. In just five weeks, we need to:
- sell and/or giveaway about half of our possessions
- finish the home repairs we started
- put our house on the market
- pack our things
- celebrate our two children’s birthdays, which includes a small birthday party
- take the kids for their yearly well check-up exams
- take the kids to the dentist for a check-up
- visit with the people here before we move
- and tons more!!!!
As you can imagine, my schedule is pretty tight. As much as I love writing for Thrifty Mommy, I could certainly use the time to work around here.
I am open to accepting guest posts from our audience and other bloggers. As you know, Kelly and I try to write about ways to save time and money. Guests posts could be about sales, Amazon codes, free stuff, organization, a round up of prizes and giveaways in the blogosphere, recipes, frugal living, and so much more! Of course, as a thank you, I would include a byline for your website.
If you would like to contribute, please email me at Karen@b5media.com. Please make the title of your email “guest post for Karen”. This will help me to fish your email from the spam box.
Thanks for your help!

just dropped you an email.
Moving is never fun.
No, it’s not. I HATE moving!!!!!!!!!! To say I’ve been a witch the past few days would be a pretty true statement. I hired a babysitter for a little on Tuesday and Wednesday, which helped out a lot with my stress level. I do have some family coming in to help for a few days. I’m hoping to hire some sitters again next week too. Thankfully, my kids are potty trained and no one needs a bottle. My daughter being home every day is causing a lot of tension in the house. She can be an instigator.
P.S. We’re moving from a 3000 square foot house into a 700-800 square foot apartment. The purging and decluttering is very painful.
is your husband in the military or a job transfer? i’m sure downsizing your belongings must be overwhelming!!!!!! i wish i lived nearby…i could give you a hand…i don’t know if there’s a name for my compulsion, but i like getting rid of/dumping other people’s things….not my stuff…just other people’s stuff. if i could just swing over to the other side and get rid of my own belongings (you know, the things you hold onto because you’re sure that someday you’re going to be able to put them to good use), i might have a little more storage space. i wish you the best of luck!!!!
Moving gives me the hives. I know that I’m not helping am I??
Good luck on your move and with the de-cluttering.
I’m going to work on a post to submit. I hope it won’t bore your readers to tears
Tanyetta: Girl, I don’t think you’d ever bore anyone to tears. If all else fails, we can put up the video of you on the Ellen Show! heehee
Mom of 14: I wish you were here to help too. I bet you’d be a great babysitter and I sure could use some moral support. I need someone to stand there and say, “Nope, you don’t need that!”
BTW, I am responding to all the emails I receive. If I don’t respond to yours, please send it again to make sure that it didn’t get lost amongst the hundreds of junk mails I get each day. Thanks!
I’m so excited. I’m getting volunteers!
This is a good idea Karen. If only I had some ideas to write a guest spot for you. I will think about it since kids start summer camp next week and I can concentrate on the computer and need to be thrifty in my shopping. Are you moving within the same State?
Mom of 14: Oops. Forgot to answer your question. My husband is not in the military. He was when we got married though. He’s been in youth ministry for the last several years.
Bonnie: We are staying in North Carolina, our home state. We will be closer to my family, which will really help! Do you have any children’s ideas you can write about?
I realized late last nite that I followed the wrong karen post from another channel and thought you were someone I knew. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the response.
Heya Karen. Good luck with your move
I’ll try to cough-up another article for you guys, if I can make it in time. I have tons of articles to write with so little time.
