I am personally excited to announce the future newest edition to the Thrifty Mommy clan. My wonderful husband of almost 9 years and I are expecting our second child in July of next year. Our little girl will be just over 2 years by the time the next one arrives and we are looking forward to all the challenges two little rug rats will give us.
The most common question I am asked now that we are telling of our news is if we want a little girl or little boy? I can honestly say that we want a healthy baby. I know everybody says that, but I had a lot of medical problems when I was little and it seems that I was in and out of doctors offices until I was 3 or so. I still deal with the repercussions of severe allergies so I hope my children don’t have to.
So stay tuned to see whether we are going to have a girl or boy. And I look forward to hearing all your advice on introducing a new baby to a wonderful first child. But then again I am a little partial.

Yay! Congratulations to you and G!!!
Around the 6th month you should start talking to KM about the baby. Talk it up good – she can help you, she’ll have someone to play with, etc. AE always looked forward to the day when her brother could play with her. It has been hard having them close in age, but it is paying off. They are the best of friends. The other day he was sleeping and she was sad because she wanted to see him. So sweet!
Congrats, Kelly!
Congratulations! I hope you get your heart’s desire and have a healthy child.
Congratulations, Kelly! How exciting to go through it all over again. Enjoy!
Congrats, Kelly! How exciting! As for my wife and I, we are still thinking about having a second one. Maybe when the little one is 2.
My DH and I wanted the kids to be about 2 years apart. My sister and I were 2 yrs, 2 months, and 2 dys apart. I grew up thinking this was the coolest thing ever. My kids won’t have that but they will be spaced just as we had prayed.
I hope ya’ll get your kids at the times you want them, Isaak. Kids truely do fill your life with somehting only dirty diapers and sleepless nights can. I wouldn’t trade any so far
Congratulations Kelly!! Wonderful news.
