Do you have a loved one overseas? Well, the United States Postal Service has a free special kit you can get to send packages to troops overseas.
- call 1-800-610-8734
- press 1 for English
- press 1 to order
- Ask about the military kit for care packages
- Give them your mailing address
Simple, huh? The Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes included in the kit can be shipped to any APO/FPO in the world, regardless of weight, for $8.10.
Thanks to Poor Wealth for the tip. For information, visit the USPS. Picture from militarycarepackage.net.
P.S. Don’t forget to send baby wipes. My husband says the baby wipes were the best when he was in the desert because they always feel cool to your skin no matter how hot it is.

Great info! I had no idea the postal service did this. Thanks!
I alwasy tgry to encourage the troops as much as I can. We will look into this!
Did you know that you can send a post card or letter and address it to “A US SOldier” and it will get to a random soldier? That is another way to encourage them.
