First, I can't belive he is 21 months old!

Second, at least you didn't duct tape her mouth. I actually ahd a teacher that did that to the entire class. I have a wonderful mustache for a lady :(

Third, duct tape wouldn't work for us anyway because she digs it out of the side. But I am so glad to know that I am not the only one who deals with it. Sometimes I feel like such a bad parent because everyone tells me that it is time to potty train her. I know that and am working on it with poop but she is not ready to do it with pee!

My goodness! The things moms have to do.

My little one (21 months) just figured out that he can open the refrigerator door. Ahhhh! There are just some things you don't want them to learn!

At least I'm not the ONLY one who has a child that likes to play with poop. About 2 weeks ago, I went to get my 2 year old son out of his room after nap time to find almost the same thing. EXCEPT, he had locked himself in there (I frantically found the "emergency key" above the door) and all the while was saying "uh oh."

When I finally got the door open, he was naked from the waist down, a poopy diaper was on the floor and a big blob of poop had been smushed into the carpet.

UNfortunately, I've experienced the SAME thing before. . . .from my 4 year old when she was 2. She used to do that at nap time. Even though she was potty trained, we put a pull-up on her at naptime "just in case." (And we DID put her on the toilet every day before naptime.)

Want to know what worked???? DUCT TAPE! Yes, it's true. We started duct taping her diapers so she couldn't get into them. Worked like a charm. The only thing is we had to keep scissors near the changing table to get them off her! ha ha! It only took 2 weeks to "cure" her of the habit.

To ramble on a little more. . . . I had all sorts of advice from women I knew at the time. One actually suggested that I put a pile of newspapers in one corner so she would go on them instead of the floor. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? HA HA!

PS We have since turned the lock around on my son's door. Now we lock him inside during nap time on purpose, and the emergency key is inside his room above the door! (If we don't lock him in there, we worry about him getting out & falling down the stairs since gates don't work with him anymore.)

Good grief! I can sympathize. Every day has seemed like that around here. Saturday my two kids took all of the bedding on the spare bed. Yesterday they took the pillow off the bed and tore the case off the pillow (literally tore the fabric apart, the pillow came with a thin protective case) and tore up the foam pillow leaving a big mess in the room. Today my little boy pulled the diaper cream out of the drawer and wiped it all over the spare bed. Errrrrrr, I was so mad!!!! He is going through a very mischievous stage right now.
