Baby Einstein videos might not make your kids smarter but they will entertain.

Every mother has said that they won’t raise their kids on TV before the child is born. Then just about every mother lets the TV baby sit their kids for at least 1 hr a day. I know I am just as guilty of this as the next. My DD loves to dance with the Doodlebops and Little Einsteins. I did look for some Baby Einstein DVD’s when she was younger but didn’t get any for one reason or another. Yes, I heard the talk about how they could make your child smarter. I didn’t believe that for a minute! I just wanted to get a load of laundry done. There is an interesting editorial about the Baby Einstein videos in the Scotland Sunday Herald that says the same thing that common sense does. No video is going to make your kids smarter. But in my humble opinion, and that is just what it is, it will let you get some house work done if your kids will watch it.
I was a big believer in Baby Einstein. I still am to a large degree. Nothing is really going to make your child smarter, but it does expose them to music they may otherwise (like in my house) not get exposure to. It is amazing what they pick up and remember. For the same reason I’m a big fan of Little Einstein’s. Where else is my child going to get exposed to classical art and music at this age?
