Baby update

Some of you have asked how my pregnancy is going.  We have only 2.5 weeks left and I am feeling fine.  Those rascally Braxton Hicks contractions are getting me but other than that and a lack of sleep I am doing well and would do it all over again.

I am, however, going to start playing with people.  I am amazed at how easily people tell me I look “about ready to pop”.  I am only 44″ this time.  I was 51″ with KM and 20 lbs heavier.  I am only 61″ tall so last time, I was a site to behold.  So from now on, when people make comments on how big I am, I am going to tell them that I hope not since I have 4 months to go.  Maybe that will make them think twice about saying anything to pregnant women about their size.  If I got my feelings hurt easily, they would be trampled by now.  Instead, I just chalk it up to rudeness and move on.  I don’t have enough energy at this point to worry about crazy comments.

LOL I need to be around when you do that. You’re not one for sarcasm, but sometimes pregnancy brings that out in people. hahahaha

I think that comment was closely followed by my second least favorite comment (I am 5′3″ and gained almost 40 pounds)– Dang girl! You are HUGE!

  3. Karen says:

I was two weeks late with my first one, so my least favorite comments were, “Dang, girl. When are you going to let that baby out?” and/or “Haven’t you had that baby yet?” I wanted to say, “Yes, I’ve had the baby. I’m still just really huge!”

Kelly – P.S. I never had any Braxton Hicks or any other signs of labor with my 2 kids. All of my contractions were with pitocin. My body was just being stubborn I guess.

I love seeing peoples faces when I tell them I was 9 inches bigger with my first one. I laugh hysterically inside!
