We're having to come up with a down payment on a house and it's wearing me out. We haven't had a chance yet to recooperate from having two house payments. But we figure we need to buy a house now while the market and interest rates are down. Otherwise, I don't know that we'd be able to buy here. We looked at a piece of property. It wasn't even in a neighborhood and it was $60,000 for a HALF acre!!!! I about croaked. But I know my kids will need the shoes, so I bit the bullet and paid the $50. I can't stomach paying $30-50 each later on. We used to get good second hand shoes from friends, but that doesn't happen so much anymore.
