Cheap Airline Ticket Tips

Looking for cheap airline tickets? Join the club! You’re not the only one looking for a discount so keep in mind cheap airfare deals and promotions do fill up fast. Still, anyone looking to save money on travel might consider a few tips when booking a flight:
- Book a few weeks ahead of time. Airlines generally offer a lower price to those who book early than those who wait for the last minute. If you have a travel agent, she’ll help you shop around for the cheapest flight available, or you can comparison shop online.
- Catch the “red-eye”. If you don’t mind arriving in the wee hours, catch a red-eye. No one likes to travel at 2:00 AM, making these flights less expensive. Many of these flights don’t fill up, either. Which means there’s a good chance of an empty seat next to you, allowing you to spread out and catch a nap.
- Travel off-season. If you travel at a different time from the rest of the world, you’re sure to save at least a little money.
- Fly mid-week. Saturday and Sunday flights are most expensive.
- Avoid flying during holiday weekends.
