I think it's nonsense. They don't know any better. Last year my son was almost 5 months old at Christmas. I got him a $30 Tonya truck on clearance for $17 and that was all I got him. This year I am buying them things together that they both can enjoy. They will be <i>just<i> as happy. I have been spending the past 3 years having these great birthday parties for my daughter. Her birthday is on the 4th and this year we were at our friend's house for a cookout and swimming. We had some cupcakes for her and sang.
