Lots and lots of time to make the “yarn” (it takes quite a lot of bags to make one big bag) and hard on your fingers, but VERY worth it. Incredibly sturdy. Mine can hold 60 POUNDS of groceries! Admittedly, you’ll break your back getting it up the stairs, but your bag won’t break.

Oh yes!!! I was just telling someone the other day about crocheted grocery sack bags. I’ve been wanting to try making one to see how durable they actually are, but was too lazy to go Google.
