I was searching through a box in the basement last night and was so happy to find my peanut butter pie recipe. I thought it was lost forever. This pie is so yummy and I wanted to share it with you! (Since this recipe is from Smucker’s, I’ll include their name where they had it.)

1 prepared chocolate cookie pie crust
1 cup Jif creamy peanut butter
8 oz cream cheese (at room temperature)
1/2 cup sugar
12 oz container of non-dairy whipped topping, divided
1 jar (11.75 oz) Smucker’s Hot Fudge Ice Cream Toppings, divided
Drizzle: 2 tbs Smucker’s Hot Fudge and 2 tbs Jif Peanut Butter
In a medium bowl, beat together the Jif peanut butter, cream cheese and sugar. Gently fold in 3 cups whipped topping. Spoon mixture into the pie shell. Using a spatula, smooth mixture to edges of pie.
Reserving 2 tablespoons of Smucker’s Hot Fudge, place remaining Smucker’s Hot Fudge into a microwave safe bowl or glass measuring cup. Microwave for 1 minute. Stir. Spread Smucker’s Hot Fudge over pie to cover the peanut butter layer. Refrigerate until serving time.
Just before serving, spread the remaining whipped topping over hot fudge layer, being careful not to mix the two layer.
Place the 2 tbs Smucker’s Hot Fudge in a small baggie and knead for a few seconds. Cut a tiny hole in the corner of the bag and drizzle over pie. Do the same with 2 tbs Jif Peanut Butter going in the opposite direction of the Smucker’s Hot Fudge.

I LOOOOOOVE peanut butter. I am adding this to my collection of recipes to try. Thanks!
OMG–I’m going to go search the cupboards for the ingredients NOW!!
Chocolate and peanut butter are two of our favorites. YUM!
The Amish make an incredible peanut butter pie. I’ve tried many ways but have never duplicated it. No chocolate in their recipe though.
This pie is delicious! I got the recipe out of a magazine years ago and I am FORCED to make it for our Christmas and/or Thanksgiving dinners every year since. So rich and decadent!
I am making this for my mom, and I was wondering if I had to have the crust like this. Could I make a regular crust, or does it have to be this exact one. Please write me back as soon as you can. Thanks.
Sorry I did not respond, Emily. I just saw your comment. The great thing about recipes is that you can change them around and experiment. I rarely make a recipe exactly as stated. Have fun, change it around, and let us know how it goes.
I make this pie often for friends and family. Though I am young (just 16) I love to cook and this is one of my favorites. The first time I made this it was very difficult to do the drizzle. I recommend you use chocolate syrup to drizzle on top as it allows for a nicer looking finished product. I also recommend that you substitute the peanut butter drizzle for caramel, as it too comes in a bottle, and adds a little more variety to the flavor. Overall, an absolutely fabulous recipe!!!!!
This sounds so good, I’m making this for Thanksgiving…
Let me know how it turns out.
Oh wow, this looks delicious! I should cook one up right now.
I just made this for Thanksgiving and it was a hit, loved by all. I took the advice of Madi and substituted carmel topping for the peanut butter drizzle and it did turn out great. You can’t have a butter combination of peanut butter, chocolate, and carmel. I’ll be making this for years to come.
Kirby: I’m glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing how it turned out. This year I tried peanut butter bars. They were yummy. I hope to make them again soon to share on Thrifty Mommy.
HI:
Great recipe! I am one that almost never follows a recipe to the letter. I did modify this one and the result was great. Used plain graham cracker crust and whipped heavy cream into the cream cheese and peanut butter mixture. Topped the peanut butter mixture with a dark chocolate ganach. Drizzled top of pie with same. Great!
