I voted today. It was the first time my daughter got to go with me to vote. She loved seeing her new school. She will go there in just a year and a half. BOO HOO! I’m crying already! So vote in our poll and tell us who you voted for or if you didn’t vote at all.

I went this morning and waited for an hour. I thought about bringing my kids, but decided against it since it would probably be too hard. My 4 year old wanted to go with me, but I would also have to take my 20 month old by myself. I did tell him that he could have my sticker when I picked him up from daycare. I asked him who I should vote for and he told me “Barack Obama” and also “Daddy should vote for John McCain” LOL I’m also sad that he will be starting kindergarten next September. My little baby is growing up.
I’m always happy to hear people say they did vote. Sure, I may not agree with who you voted for, but the way I see it is that if you don’t vote, don’t complain about the state things are in! I just think voting is such an important privilege for us – we too often take it for granted.
Now we just need to be content with whomever God puts in charge of the country and make a point to pray for wisdom for our leaders and safety for our country, regardless of if we agree with them or not.
I voted yesterday also. I took my 4 year old and we were there a total of 1 hour and 45 minutes!

I am also pretty disappointed today but must trust in God that he is smarter than I am. Now it is time to look to the next set of elections.
