We also use cloth and I have a water proof washable bag I use, but I always carry some recycled shopping bags just in case I fill up my other bag (I have two in diapers right now) or if I have washed it and forgotten.

On the rare occasion we use disposables (usually if we are travelling for more than two days) I just use the shopping bags. But as Papabear noted they are loud. Never thought of the produce bags. Great idea!

Mommabear likes to buy lots of fruits and vegetables from the produce section at the grocery store. She then reuses these produce bags as our trash receptacle for those used diapers when we are traveling around. These bags are wonderfully compact and fit in the tiniest of spaces (without the crinkly noise of the Walmart or plastic grocery bags which can make papabear "cringe" with a growl). These produce bags hold a lot and do not easily puncture and they can be easily tied and retied in a knot to keep in the odorous smells from offending our olfactory senses. Best of all, we are recycling these produce bags without having to buy any special bags. This is definitely a "Thrifty Mommy" idea if you are already buying healthy fruits and vegetables which are definitely more wholesome than doritos (kryptonite for papabear) for the bear family!

My girlfriend does cloth diapers and makes it look so easy. We considered it with KM but tend to run out of water from our well so we decided not to. Did you feel like you got a good deal at Happy Tushies? Always looking to recommend mommy stores with a "Good Deal" seal of approval.

I am cloth diapering, but was having a similar dilemma. I decided to buy a bag, that can be washed, to keep smelly diapers in. I got a super cute one from HappyTushies.com (in a trendy mommy pattern) and one side holds clean diapers, while the other holds the dirties. The bag is waterproof and has saved me from carrying around a ton of Walmart bags (less chic than the doggy bags even) and I just throw it in the wash when it starts to take on the odor of the smelly diapers...
