Thrifty Mommy

Don’t let stores trick you with good sales.

Have you ever gone to a sale and found a great deal? I like those deals. What I don’t like is when you get sucked in to a not-so-smart buy. For instance:

  • Buy two, get one free – most of the time, you only need 1 and not 3 so you are spending more money than you need to.
  • Spend $X and get X% off – Same thing, you spend more money than you need to. A lot of times, I have to buy 1 or 2 extra things that I don’t need in order to get the discount.
  • Outlets – Unless you live close by or are on vacation, wise sales shopping gives you just as good of a deal without wasting gas.

These are just a few of the ways that stores try to trick you into spending more money than you need to. Be careful with you money…. It’s yours and the stores should have to earn it instead of tricking you.
