It was a blazing 90 degrees here today. :( I want my fall weather. Regardless, it is fall and I have promised you some fall recipes.
I was cleaning up some things today and found my recipe for cream cheese icing. It is very simple and easy to make, yet so yummy on spice cake, pumpkin bread, carrot cakes, cookies . . . I could go on and on!
You will need:
8 oz bar of cream cheese, softened
1 stick of margarine or butter, softened
1 lb sifted powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese and butter until creamy. Mix in the vanilla, then gradually stir in the confectioners’ sugar. Store in the refrigerator after use.
OR . . . you may want to try this one. Same directions apply.
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 cups sifted confectioners’ sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Hope this tastes yummy on all your fall treats!
