I am a pro at clearance shopping for myself and family. I love to shop at Target for my kids since you can not beat $1-2 for great pieces of clothing. I also make sure to check out the shoes there as well. I also shop off season at Carter's, OshKosh B'Gosh, and Children's Place Outlets.

As for myself, I tend to shop Old Navy since they have the style my DH and I love for relaxing.

I really love Target's end of season sales. I have so much stuff for next summer already!

I also like Kohls, JC Penney and Old Navy. JC Penney has excellent shoe sales.

And then, there are always consignment shop end of season sales. These tend to be my favorites because we never know what we're going to find and whatever we do find is always a great deal!

I absolutely do this! There's really hardly any reason to buy during the season. Target is great for after work and weekend wear (though sometimes I can get some work clothes, too), but I find that department stores like Lord and Taylor or Macy's practically give things away (75-90% off) at the end of the season and usually have a 20% coupon as well. It works great for professional clothes, coats and shoes. I usually stick to solid colors if possible- its easy to mix and match into the next season's color combinations, and prints are usually the first to look dated.

And building a wardrobe ahead of time is a great motivator for maintaining your weight and staying in shape!

Thanks for another great article!
