Fence Update: Maybe Spending More Money

So this fence project we started a couple of months back? So far we haven’t replaced the fence. This is due to several reasons, first and foremost there were so many trees growing against the fence we had to chop them down, which we’re not done with yet, and then grind the stumps. Since we’re having rainy weekends and my husband can only work weekends, that’s put a damper on things. (Heh. No pun intended.)
On Saturday my husband and I took a long stroll around our property. We have a full acre but for some reason our predecessors decided to only fence in a quarter acre, enough for the pool and deck. There’s room for our son and dog to run around, but not a whole lot. So now we’re looking in to how much it will cost to install a fence around the entire back property.
Because we mostly stay in the immediate back yard, more than half an acre is being wasted - except for my neighbors who and their dogs who are getting great use out of it. With a bigger yard we can also have a bigger vegetable garden too.
So the first step is to call in a surveyor. The second step is to get more fence panels - and I also asked my husband to get an installation estimate. We’ve been saving up since we moved here and I have a new job allowing us to save more. If the price is right, I’d much rather have someone else install it so the project can be done in one weekend, and we get to see my husband every now and then.
See? I told you this would be going on all summer?
