Tomorrow is the 5th annual Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-Fil-A. On July 10, 2009, come into any Chick-Fil-A restaurant dressed like a cow and you’ll get a free meal!

If you don’t have a cow costume then you can download a free starter kit from Chick-Fil-A.
Yummy, yummy!

Dear Sir:
My friend and I went to your Poplar Ave, Germantown Store in Memphis, TN to celebrate Cow Appreciation Day. I live in Frayser/Millington,and shelives in Olive Branch, Ms. We met for lunch at 10:45 a.m. I dressed in my black and white spotted shirt, and black crop slacks. My shirt was a cow neck. I printed the cow kit and put it together and attached it to the front of my shirt. My friend also had on a white shirt with all of the little spots from the kit attached to her top. My problem is this: the young lady told us that we did not qualify for the free meal; only a chicken sandwich because we did not have on enough decorations. What was enough decoration? You advertisement showed a gentleman sitting in a chair with a black and white spotted cow shirt and slacks. It was stated that “we needed to dress like a cow”, and we did.
The sandwich was good, however we were looking for the meal because we followed the requirements for a free Chick-Fil-A- meal.
Respectfully,
Mahalia Davis

I am sorry that this happened to you. The ad on the internet did not say that the amount of food given would vary according to how much you were decorated. Upon doing some research, I found this:
Here is the info directly from the website http://www.cowappreciationday.com/_downloads/cad_faqs.pdf
Q: What is Cow Appreciation Day?
A: For one day only, black and white spots, cow bells and furry ears will be appropriate attire in the nation’s second largest chicken
chain. In celebration of July 10, Cow Appreciation Day (an unofficial yet nationally recognized holiday), Chick-fil-A will award a
free combo meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner) to any customer who comes to one of the chain’s 1,300-plus restaurants fully dressed
as a cow.
Q: What does “fully dressed as a cow” mean?
A: “Fully dressed as a cow” means an effort to be dressed like a cow from head to toe. For customers who want to join us in partial
cow attire (such as the cow headband, a cow-printed hat, vest or purse) a free entrée will be given.
I agree that this original advertisement is misleading. I would recommend forwarding your comments over to Chick-Fil-A customer service.
Our family of 5 went to Chick-Fil-A last night. We ended up with $25 in free food! I figured there would be a long line of people waiting for free food, but there wasn’t.
