Thrifty Mommy

Friends with benefits … JK

Friends … Karen and her family came up for a visit this weekend. We are having such a great time! Her kids are very well mannered and Turkey Butt is almost behaving and sharing her toys. Well, almost. HAHA! Her little boy is cracking me up. Karen’s DH painted the girls’ fingernails and toe nails this morning outside on the deck and my little girl was thrilled.

Benefits … Karen brought me 7, not 6 or 8 but 7, bags of clothes for the kids. Now that is a great thrifty benefit! What kind of benefits were you thinking? I am always up for free hand me downs.

I LOVE hand me down clothes for my baby. My aunt has been giving me things, but I think my baby is about to pass up the baby we are getting them from. :(

  2. Kate says:

Aren’t they great? It was a shock to me that people sell their used baby clothes here in Germany. At home in Canada, we just give them away to friends.

  3. Jennifer says:

I’ll admit it. My mind was in the gutter when I saw the title. Free clothes are a good benefit though too.

  4. Karen says:

Kelly, you are a nut. I hope you’ll enjoy all the clothes. There was a little baby at church this morning wearing one of Alligator’s old outfits. She was so cute. I just had to hold her and remember how little Alligator used to be.

Kate, I have consigned our clothes, had yard sales, and given them away. There are just so many clothes! They grow out of them so quickly.

I’m glad that Kelly and her family will be blessed with the thrifty clothes.

We have been SO blessed. Thank you, Karen. I, too, tend to give clthes away to be used. I have gotten most of them back when my friends are done with them as I have given clothes back we have been loaned.

  6. Jennifer says:

Sounds like I need to find some friends whose children are just larger than mine… Great benefits!

  7. kellys says:

Jennifer, I hope you do as I have really enjoyed the hand-me-downs.
