dehydrator 022 With grocery prices soaring up and up, who couldn’t use a free dinner? Kahiki has generously donated coupons for a free Kahiki product for ten lucky Simply Thrifty readers. If you’re craving General Tso’s and don’t have money in your budget for a dinner out, a free Kahiki meal may be just the ticket. Each coupon is good for a free package of Kahiki or Kahiki Naturals and is valued at up to $5.

As always, no skill is required to enter the giveaway. Just leave a comment on this post about a frugal way you handle cravings for restaurant food (or just say, "Hey, I want to enter!") before October 31st.

Fine Print:

I will use Random.org to draw ten names from the comments on November 1st and will mail out the winners’ coupons. Void where prohibited by law. Odds of winning depends on the number of comments on this post. There are ten prizes available.

Oh man! I so love GeneralTso’s chicken!!!

  2. Jennifer says:

I often DON’T curb those restaurant cravings, but what helps sometimes is to make dinner at home then go out for dessert later. It’s still a special treat, but we save a lot more than if we’d eaten a meal out.

  3. EdV says:

I’ve loved these since I first found them at my local club store

I cook double the recipe and freeze the other half for when I don’t feel like cooking!

    What a GREAT giveaway!!

  8. Johannah B says:

We limit our resturant exposure totally to lunch time meals together (hubby and I) – it’s less expensive for the same meal at lunch. Also we drink water – nowadays that saves about $4.00 which is plenty enough for the tip and then some.

I use the copycat recipe site, but I also have found a cheap way to get those restaurant “fixes” for a lot less- I will go to a chinese restaurant at lunch time or before their lunch time hours are over and buy their lunch combinations for usually half of what dinner combos cost and then refrigerate and reheat for dinner- 2 combos costing less then $8 total will feed a family of 4. I also do the same for other restaurants that have lunch special prices- just buy at lunchtime and reheat for dinner

  11. Dddiva says:

Frugal way to handle restaurant cravings- like Rachael Ray I try to remake them at home- way cheaper and they can be personalized to our specific tastes.
It helps that we almost always like our own cooking better- we save eating out for celebrations or those days we just don’t have the time.

  12. Susan Ledet says:

It’s getting harder and harder to be able to afford to go to eat these days. Many of our local restaurants now offer a deal – buy one dinner and get 1/2 off or full price off on another meal. This makes it much more affordable.

  13. ARTHUR MALONE says:

I LIKE BUFFET TYPE RESTAURANTS–WIDE SELECTION–SOUP TO DESSERT–AMERICAN –CHINESE-WHATEVER–EAT EAT AND MORE EAT–

  14. Storm says:

ooooh I remember as a little girl getting to visit the Kahiki restaurant in Ohio, it was so awesome! I’d love to try their frozen dinners, I’m drooling already!

We try to take advantage of coupon deals when we go out to eat. We usually get the Entertainment book every year and that has helped a lot – we still get to go out and have a nice dinner but a lot cheaper!

  15. Annemarie says:

I would love to try this.
