Ann Brown wrote an article at blackenterprise about how to buy designer wear without spending at a designer price. She recommends buying those clothing manufacturer “samples”.
Sample sales, where clothing manufacturers sell their “samples,” offer deep discounts–between 20% and 80% below retail depending on [the] designer or vendor. So you don’t have to be an heiress, singing sensation or a high-powered executive to afford designs by makers such as Vera Wang, Norma Kamali Randolph Duke and Badgley Mischka.
That’s actually a good idea. If you’re really craving to buy designer wear, better check out these “places” as they’re selling samples.
