Frugal fitness on a thrifty budget.
Anybody up for working out? I always tell people that my body is a temple for God but I alone added the extra rooms. But seriously, if you are like me, I want to be a size 6 but I also like my chips and guacamole. Not to mention, I like my couch and TLC a lot. On the other hand, I can find all kinds of excuses to sit at home. The DD is napping; the mountain I live on is too steep to walk; and my personal favorite, the gym is too expensive. Well, let me bust that bubble. I found an article from Detroit Free Press that cracked me up. It tells of all kinds of ways to keep in shape and be frugal at the same time. I personally love the off hours discount rate at the Beverly Hills Club. If you work out from noon to 4 pm, you get a discount. Although this makes perfect sense, most people I know are working at this hour. I guess that’s why they can afford to give the discount. In the meantime, I guess I will keep working on motivating myself off the mountain via my 2 feet.
